Robert E. "Bob" Martin, 67, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital with family by his side. He was born on April 12, 1945 in Syracuse. He attended Central High School and served in the US Army. After being discharged from the Army, he was employed at Tops & Williams Markets. He then moved onto Van Duyn Nursing Home in the receiving Dept. retiring in 2006. Bob enjoyed his grandchildren and fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond & Shirley, brother, Richard & uncle, Kenneth.
Surviving are his wife, Aiko, of 42 years, children; David Martin, Syracuse, Lisa (Dave) Lang, Jamesville, Melissa (Elijah) Person, Syracuse, 5 grandchildren, Brianna Tousley, DJ Lang, Elijah, Jr., Malcom & Angel Person. cousins, Bill Martin and Gloria Brunner.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 12-1:30pm at Atonement Lutheran Church, 116 W. Glen Ave., Syracuse, with services to follow.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Atonement Lutheran Church.
