Robert E. "Bob" Kodya, 83, of Clay, passed away on Tuesday after a long illness.
He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Michael and Anna (Boycheck) Kodya. Bob was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from Western Electric and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero.
Bob was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Surviving are his loving companion of 25 years, Thelma Rose, 2 daughters, Kim Kodya of Seattle, WA and Suzanne Kodya of Pittsburgh, PA, 2 sisters, Shirley Kraszeski and Elaine Maloney, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10-12noon at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
