Our always loving brother, Robert E. Fountain, 64, passed away peacefully after a long illness on September 9, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Syracuse, NY, he lived most of his life in the Albany/Cohoes area, most recently in Kirkville, N.Y.
He worked for many years as a truck driver. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, art, visiting with family and loved his faithful companion of 10 years, his beagle "Buddy".
Robert was predeceased by his mother, Christine Mento and his father, Robert Fountain of Clifton Park, N.Y. .He is survived by two brothers, Joseph Mento of Jamesville, NY and Paul Mento of Kirkville, N.Y, a sister, Maryanne (Frederick) Keller of Clay, N.Y. and a step sister Jenn Fountain of Cohoes, N.Y, several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
He touched many lives throughout his life.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will be no calling hours and services will be private. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, N.Y.
Contribution to Bob's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society and the S.P.C.A of C.N.Y.
Bob's family would like to extend a warm thank you to The Grand in Chittenango and the compassionate Nurses and Doctors of St Joseph's Hospital.
