Robert C. Slinde, 95 of Syracuse. Born in Madison, Wis. He was the son of the late Norman and Ida Slinde. "Uncle Bob" as he was lovingly known passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was known for his quick witt, kindness and generosity. Bob retired from CENTRO in 1980. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII. He was predeceased by his brother Winston.
Surviving are his wife and sweetheart, Rose, step-children: Robert (Amy) and Linda both of Syracuse, Jim of CA, John of , Fl and Joe (Eve) D'Agostino of Fl. Six step-grandchildren; William Morris, Christina, Lisa, Michael, Anthony and Gina D'Agostino, two nieces; Jackie (Bill) Robins and Nancy Kidder, and several great nieces.
Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 -7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse. Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
