Robert A. Hammond, 55, died after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Ocala, FL. Bob was born in Lyncourt, NY to Boyce R. and Jean D. Hammond, who both predeceased him.
Robert is survived by his siblings Kathleen (Tim) Beaty of Ocala, FL; Christopher (Mary Clare) Hammond of St. Charles, MO; and Candace Hammond of New York, NY, and a nephew and niece, Nathaniel and Meryn Hammond, both of St. Charles, MO.
Bob retired in 2013 from Sherwin Williams in Columbus, Ohio. Bob was an avid weather watcher and was always willing to help others. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6-9PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday 9AM at St. Daniel Church, 3004 Court St, Syracuse, NY 13208. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY.
