Ritva S. Lahtinen
July 5, 1935 — December 12, 2020
Ritva Sylvia (Syrjalainen) Lahtinen, 85, passed away on Saturday at Loretto due to COVID-19. She was born in Finland, daughter of the late Johan and Ida Syrjalainen. Ritva moved to the Syracuse area in 1962 with her husband Aarno and their children. Ritva and Aarno traveled across the US several times and to Finland to see their friends and relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband Aarno, her parents and her brother Leo.
Ritva's kind heart and generosity will always be remembered by her son Aimo (Nancy) Lahtinen, daughter Riitta (John) Gugliotto, grandchildren Sarah Oliver, Erin Gugliotto (Gregory LaBarre), Lisa (Stephen) Thomas, Joshua Gugliotto and Jacob Gugliotto, great grandchildren Abigail and Sofia Oliver, Ava and Gavin LaBarre, Alexander Thomas and by many nephews and nieces.
Burial will be private at North Syracuse Cemetery.
