January 16, 1954 — July 18, 2021
Rita Thornton, 67, of Clay went to be an Angel on July 18th. She loved her music, flowers, birds, sewing and crafting. Most of all, she loved being with her wife and beautiful dog babies.
She is survived by her wife, Pat Hellinger and children, Ceasar (11) and Precious (6); her sisters, Linda Williams of Elmira; Deborah Murphy of Pennsylvania and brother, Andre Murphy of Elmira; nieces, Caitlin Fitch of Georgia and Andrea Murphy of Elmira; nephew, Ian Murphy of Pennsylvania; as well as Pat's large family.
Rita was predeceased by her mother, Louisa Murphy; mother-in-law, Leollia Quackenbush; beloved dogs, Brandy and Selene and several other members of Pat's family.
At her request there will be no services.
