Richard Clarence Wescott, 74, of North Syracuse, formerly of Syracuse's Westside, passed away January 25, 2023.
Richard was born in Syracuse, New York on August 19, 1948. Richard worked 20 years at Millbrook Bakery and retired from Penn Traffic (Penny Curtis Bakery). He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7290 and the life member of AMVETS Post NY 729. He loved golf, hanging out with his friends at the VFW, bowling, and vacationing with his family. Richard loved spending time with his wife.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Roxanna; two mothers, Eva May Guile, and Dolores Wescott; and his father, Clarence Edwin Wescott.
He is survived by a daughter, Gina Montreal; three sons, Robert (Susan) Wescott, Vincent Ryder, Michael Wescott; grandchildren, Kayla, Keyahn, R'Cia, R'Eona, Gavin, Ryan, Andrew, Braydon, Tianna, Tyarah,, Vincent Jr, Chad, Shelly, Kyrstin, Lyssa, and Morgan; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debra (Mark) Skloda, Tracy Reil; four brothers, Scott Wescott, William (Darlene) Reil, Brian Reil, and Ray Jesmer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours are Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm with a service to follow at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Syracuse VA Medical Center.
