Richard Harold Weaver Sr.
June 20, 1945 — February 3, 2024
Richard Harold Weaver Sr., 78, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Born in Syracuse, NY on June 20, 1945 to the late Harold "Punk" and Betty Weaver.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a very proud life member of the Hastings Volunteer Fire Department, serving many years as Chief. He was a charter member of the VFW Post#8823 in Hastings, NY serving as Commander as well as a member of The Fraternal Order of the Cooties.
He enjoyed camping, model trains, antique cars and was a huge Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan.
He is survived by his children, Shelly (Todd) Clark and Richard Jr. (Jennifer) Weaver; grandchildren, Michelle, Amanda, Zachery, Samantha and Kimberly; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mark (Debbie) Weaver and Michael (Donna) Weaver; mother of his children, Leona Weaver and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his twin brothers, Terry and Larry Weaver and his wife, Jacqueline Weaver.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Hastings Fire Department on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's name to the Hastings Fire Department, 1994 US-11, Hastings, NY 13076.
