Richard R. Scroxton, 97 of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2020. Born on January 24, 1923 in Syracuse, NY to the late Roy and Blanche Scroxton. He was a B-17 Navigator in WW II. Richard was a life member of the 100th Bomb Group Association.
He was a graduate of SU, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in June, 1948. He also graduated from Akron University in June, 1957, with a Masters in Physics. Richard worked for IBM from 1958-1984. After retirement he was active in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in Sacket's Harbor, NY. He loved his summer's in Henderson Harbor and was the Mascot for the 1935 SU football team.
He is survived by his children, Jill (Michael) McDonald and Gail Scroxton; grandchildren, Alyssa (Nick) Widas and Andrew (Kim) McDonald. Great-grandson, Liam. Services will remain private.
