Richard R. Howell Sr., of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at home with family at his side. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. Richie loved spending time with his family. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He was predeceased by his father, George; brothers, George and Ed; and his wife, Betty.
He is survived by his mother, Anna; four children, Peter (Cheryl) Howell, Anna (Tim) Haberer, April Hayward and Richard (Sarah) Howell Jr.; 5 stepchildren, Drew (Karen) Fischel, Doug (Judy) Fischel, Rick (Helen) Fischel, Lori (Clarence Post) Northup and Patty (Brian Esposito) Fuller; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Joel (Pam) Howell; and best friend Tony (Colleen) Finch.
