MSgt (RET) Richard R. Fowler, United States Air Forces, born January 27, 1937 in Syracuse, NY died at 6:37AM on March 13, 2011 at his home in Chittenango, NY. Richard was a proud veteran of 42 years' service with the New York Air National Guard. In his retirement, Richard delivered flowers for Backyard Garden Florist in Dewitt, NY.
He is survived by his wife Marion; his daughter Annmarie; sons Garold (Gary) and Richard; son in-law Chad; Richard is also survived by his grandchildren Stephanie, Anthoney, Suzan, Collin and Claire; Richard is also survived by his siblings Gloria, Pat, Connie, William (Mack) and Jim.
Services will be held on Thursday 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 1341 Murray Drive, Chittenango with the Rev. R. Paul Mathis officiating.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse.
Burial and Military Honors will be held in the spring at St. Patrick's Cemetery on Salt Springs Road in Chittenango.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Foundation for Upstate, 750 E. Adams St, CAB Room 326, Syracuse, NY 13210, in care of Regional Oncology Center.
