Richard Pollard
July 31, 1944 — August 20, 2018
Richard, b.k.a "Tutu", passed on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the age of 74, after a lengthy battle with cancer in Syracuse, New York.
Richard was born to the late Edward Pollard and Julia Kate Pollard (nee Washington) in St. Stephens, Virginia, King and Queen County and thereafter moved to New York where he resided and worked for many years.
He was preceded in death by his former wife Susan A. Pollard (nee Klein) and daughter, Carmen Marie Pollard.
He leaves to mourn, his daughter, Robin A. Johnson (nee Pollard), and her children: Jada, Jeremy, Julian; and his son, Aaron D. Pollard and other relatives; His sister, Daisy M. Johnson (nee Washington), and her children: Cheryl Washington (his niece ) and her children: Jermaine and his son Jaiden and Jermario and their children; and her son, J. Derek Washington (nephew) ; His brother, Lawrence G. Pollard and wife Barbara and their children: the late Shannon Pollard (niece), Lawrence E. Pollard "Curly" (nephew), the late Maurice Pollard "Moe" (nephew), and Troy Pollard (nephew); His brother, George W. Pollard "Baby"; and his granddaughter Naomi (daughter of Carmen); and other family members and many friends.
Richard "Tutu", will always lovingly be remembered for his unique laugh, his style, and his sense of humor.

Visitation on Thursday from10am-10:30am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. Richard E. Pollard will be laid to rest in the
Loomis Hill Cemetery, Syracuse, New York, Onondaga County.
