Richard A. Parzych, 87, aka, Capt. Pollock of Cleveland, passed away March 10, 2018.
Richard was born in Syracuse, New York on May 20, 1930 to the late Anthony and Margaret Parzych.
Richard grew up next to Frazer Park on the west side of Syracuse. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War including a deployment to Japan. He retired from Nabisco as a truck driver. He was considered by most to be an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his Wife of 63 years, Joan Rose (Bandel) Parzych; sister, Rosemarie Driscoll; children, Gregory (Mary Alice) Parzych, Douglas Parzych, Judith M. (Damon) Lewis, Deborah Parzych and Justina Lamb.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 11am-1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals – N. Syracuse. A memorial service will follow at 1 PM. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt.
