Richard "Dick" McCarthy, 78, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
He graduated from Cornell then worked for Agway for 39 years and Suburban Propane for 7 years until his retirement.
His gentle and compassionate heart will be forever remembered.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret; four sons, Richard (Lisa) of Clarence Center, Brian of Atlanta, Scott of Liverpool and Todd (Denise) of Tampa; six grandchildren, of whom he was most proud; sister, Jane Henning-Doyle and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph's the Worker Church on Thursday, December 23rd at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, please make dontaions to the American Cancer Society in Richard's name.
