Richard F. Karle
May 30, 1932 — January 23, 2019
Richard F. Karle, 86, of Phoenix, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born and raised in Syracuse, where he graduated and played baseball for North High School.
He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Rontondo Trucking and Warehousing.
Richard is survived by his wife, Melissa "Mitzi" Karle; children, Lawrence (Birdi) Karle, Joanne (Steven) Leach and Steven Karle; 6 step-children, Janet Clute, Jerry (Allison) O'Hara, Deanne (Paul) Hall, Vicki DeDio, James (Michelle) O'Hara and Sandra (Michael) Pierce, as well as 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Douglas Karle and grandson, Ryan Laplant.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Saturday, January, 26th from 9-11am. Burial will follow at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Shriner's.
