Richard J. Parolin

Richard J. Parolin, 77, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on Saturday at the VA Hospital, Syracuse. He was born on December 9, 1934 in Syracuse, son of Louis and Concetta Taurazzo Parolin.
He served in the US Air Force from 1956-60 and was last employed at Aerojet Gencorp in Rancho Cordova, CA. Previously he worked at Joseph Cashiers in Syracuse. Richie enjoyed hunting with family and friends. After retirement he was an avid oil painter and enjoyed sharing memories with his buddies in Florida.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia, brothers, Johnny, Louie, Jr., 2 sisters; Madelyn Mussi & Laura Mangicaro.
Surviving are a daughter, Christine (Frederick) Schultze, FL, son, Raymond (Karen) Giroux, Maryland, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Pio (Elvira) Parolin, Alfred Parolin, Tarzy (Carol Anne) Parolin, 4 sisters; Pedina Canino, Rita (Richard) Cooper, Dolores Dulaney, Paula Porcello, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday 11am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
