Richard E. Fenner

April 7, 1942 — July 20, 2017

Richard Earl Fenner, 75 (April 7, 1942 - July 20, 2017)
Labatt Blue stock price fell sharply in February of 2015 due to the news that Richard "Dick" Fenner fell ill to Dementia. Senior executives at Labatt Blue called an emergency meeting to brace for the impact of the anticipated drop in sales. Unfortunately, stock prices will not increase; Richard "Dick" Fenner lost his battle to Dementia July 20, 2017.

Dick would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of "offer you can't refuse", for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be garage saleing, watching NASCAR races, working on cars, and putzing around to his heart's content.

Oldies music, laughter and love are guaranteed. The beer is cold and flows daily. He left detailed instructions for his wife and children to celebrate his mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated. He will be remembered for his dedicated service in the United States Air Force, his humor, his thriftiness, his creativity, and his incredible work ethic.

He is survived by his wife Kay, his children Cheryl Kootz, Les Totman, Heather McAvan, Victoria Fenner, and Kyle Taranto; his grandchildren Shawn Hand, Hayley Hand, Chandler McAvan, Colin McAvan, Jordan MacKenzie, Lena Koontz, Marina Koontz; his great grandchildren Madelyn Skillings, Lucas Skillings, Candice Skillings, Lilly Lehotta, Gavin Lehotta, Audrey Lehotta, Liliana Hand, and Mia Sardella; his mother Anna Martz; and his sisters Kathy Kimball and Cheryl Smith.

We want to let him know that he did a great job and wish him a safe journey. He worked very hard all his life, up until the very end. He made a difference in the lives of many. We invite you to join us and celebrate his life together. Sunday July 23, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home 2pm-4pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
