Richard E. "Dick" Varney, 74, of Fulton, passed away Friday at Michaud Nursing Home. He retired from the CNY DSO with 25 years of service. Dick was a past president of the CSEA local 414.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Angie; son, Shawn (Lori) Varney; daughter, Kristen (Jim) Mlocek; step-children, Kathleen Fabretti, Ronald (Patsy) Reid and Patricia Anderson; brother, Robert Varney; sisters, Vera Pulling and Betty Butler; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, 10AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the SPCA.
