Richard D. "Rick" Wemett, 60, of North Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at the VA Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1953 in Niagara Falls, son of Richard and Donna Wemett. He served in the US Air Force for 20 years and retired as a Tech Sergeant. Rick was formerly employed at Crouse Hospital in the IT Dept. Rick was an avid Yankee Fan, Dolphins Fan and liked Classic Rock. A special Thank You to the Staff at the VA Hospital during Rick's stay. Rick was predeceased by his wife, Sharon in 2011 and his sister, Paula and his parents.
Surviving are children; Travis (Cindy), Justin, Richelle (Daniel) Duquette, 6 grandchildren; Mackenzie, Christopher, Tyler, Sammy, Rylan & Nathan, 2 sisters; Sheri (Francisco) Valle, Teri Singleton, along with nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11-1pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
