Richard D. Mooney

April 14, 1937 — May 31, 2016

Richard D. Mooney, 79, passed away suddenly on Tuesday.

He was born on April 14, 1937 son of the late Howard and Pauline Mooney. Richard was an active member of the Mattydale United Methodist Church and Brewerton United Methodist Church.

He was also active in the choir. Richard loved model trains, maps, all card games and long drives in the country. Most of all he loved spending time with his grand kids, playing board games and gardening. He was predeceased by his son, Randall in 1995.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Carole, daughter, Alicia (Anthony) Anello, son, Brian Mooney, grandchildren, Ashley, Aidan, Connor and Adelaide.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-4 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.

Burial will be private at Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.

Contributions may be made to Beaver Lake Nature Center, 8477 E Mud Lake Rd, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 or to the Liverpool Fire Dept.
