Richard D. Crysler, 53, a lifetime resident of Syracuse died Friday after a short illness. He was employed as an independent agent for Aflac NY. Rick will be remembered most for his great love of family and friends and for his gift of humor.

He is survived by his lifetime partner John Harper, his mother Mary (Donald) Crysler of Mattydale, a sister Donna (Richard) Bronner of Clay, Marcella Crysler, five daughters; Ashea Mills, Jacqueline (Robert) Jackson, Stephanie (Michael) Miner, Rachel (Matthew Tyler) Crysler and Jami Crysler, one step daughter; Crystal (Joe) Harper, 2 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 2 nieces and several aunts and uncles.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main St., North Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be mailed to John Harper, 415 Boyden St., Syracuse, NY 13206.
