Richard S. Conway, Sr., 67, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12th with his family by his side. He was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Laura and Glenn Conway. Rick was a standout athlete at Solvay High School where he graduated in 1972. He attended college in Florida where he played baseball and earned a tryout with the Kansas City Royals. He was an Owner/Operator of Lorenzo's Pizza in Syracuse and Liverpool and most recently the owner of the "Yankees Stand" at the NYS Fair.
Rick was a kind, fun-loving guy that was always the life of the party. He was happiest when he was with his family. Rick loved to play and watch golf and was a devoted fan of the Yankees and Giants.
Rick was predeceased by two wonderful mothers-in-law, Charlotte Tarbell and Patricia Stirpe.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Tarbell; children, Jennifer (Jody) Godlewski and Richard (Katie) Conway, Jr. and Annie (Antonio) Bugge; adored grandsons, Jackson, Jacob and Joseph Godlewski and Will Conway; beloved granddaughter, Francesca Rose Bugge; former wife, Patricia Conway; brother, Mike Conway; sister, Pat Endres and many truly loved nieces and nephews whom he shared cherished memories with.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 19th 12-4 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals with a memorial service to follow at 4 PM.
