Richard C. Cherney, Sr., age 83 of Baldwinsville, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce Cherney.
Dick is survived by his children, Kim (David) Wightman and Richard (Robin) Cherney, Jr.; grandchildren, Taylor Cherney, Jordan Cherney, Heather Wightman and Christopher Wightman; and great-grandchildren, Ava and Riley; and his faithful companion, Buddy.
Dick retired from General Electric after 37 years of dedicated service. Dick was a family man. He would do anything for his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, snowmobiler, and enjoyed his pontoon boat. His life was the "Seneca River".
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dick's name to a charity of your choice.
Services will be private. Dick will be laid to rest with his wife, Joyce at the convenience of the family in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
