Richard "Dick" "Pop" Carta, 86, was reunited with 'the love of his life', Adrienne (Bertini) Carta on January 29, 2023, encircled by his loving family.
Dick was a remarkable husband, father and friend. He was born to parents Salvatore and Lillian Carta, on June 20, 1936, in Middletown Connecticut. Dick graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He extended his education studying electronics at Ward School of Electronics at the University of Hartford. After graduating in 1956, he worked at General Electric for many years. Subsequently he became a co-owner of CID Technologies where he was the VP of Marketing & Sales.
Dick also served in the United States in the Navy Reserves out of Cromwell Connecticut. Adrienne and Dick had 54 loving years together. They raised three caring children, Wendy, Rich and Dave. They have unbelievable friends and a supportive extended family. He had many passions; golfing, watching SU sports, going up to Rich & Judy's camp, traveling, playing games with family, working outdoors on the yard, just to name a few.
Dick had a special gift when it came to animals. They all loved him; 'What's not to love'. Dick's truest joy was his family and he would take every opportunity to spend time with them. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Senior Home Care Solutions and Comfort Keepers for the care they provided over the past year.
