Richard C. "Dick" VanBrocklin, 80, of Central Square, passed away on Tuesday. He was born in Brownville, NY son of the late Carl and Marguerite VanBrocklin. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Dick retired from Kemper Insurance after many years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero, Holy Name Society, life member of the VFW and American Legion. Dick was past Commander of the Cicero American Legion and past Fire Chief for the West Henrietta Fire Dept.
Surviving are his beloved wife Jane of 50 years, daughter, RaeAnn (Jack) Hickok, 2 grandchildren, Justin & Caitlyn Hickok, brother Robert (Lois) VanBrocklin, 2 sisters: Shirley (Bud) Vincent and Mary (Richard) Tanner.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow. Burial will be private at Brownville Cemetery.
