Richard C. "Dick" Bush, Sr., 83, of Brewerton, passed away on Monday at the VA Medical Center after a brief illness.

At the age of 19, Dick was the 3,000th Syracuse enlistee to join the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by GE for 23 years and later owned and operated Bush Hardware in Cicero along with his family. Dick was a member of the American Legion Post 787.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Norma (Searles), 4 sons; Richard, Jr. (Terri), Steven (Kim), David, Kenneth (Sue), 7 grandchildren; Justin, Corey, Lane, Devin, Kayleigh, Christopher, & Nicholas, 2 great grandchildren; Melody & Bryson, brother, William Bush, along with nieces and nephews and his little buddy, Rusty. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Kelly.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
