Richard A. "Dick" Ridgeway

Richard A. "Dick" Ridgeway, 64, passed away on Sunday at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 21, 1946 in Waterloo, NY. He lived most of his life in Brewerton and most recently resided in Lancaster, PA. Dick graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square, Class of 1964. On May 22, 1999 he was married to Sandra (Fenner) LoBello. He worked for Arvin Meritor as a Marketing/Sales Rep and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his customers and friends.He was a strong leader, meticulous, dedicated and admired by those who knew him. Dick was a proud 32nd Degree Mason of the Oxford Lodge #353 in Oxford, PA. He was a member of the Ancient Scottish Rites Body in Reading, PA.
Dick loved life and always had a smile for everyone and his sparkling blue eyes emulated happiness. He was known for his great sense of humor. Dick had many hobbies, but his passion for 50's-60's cars was at the top of the list. His 1955 Ford Crown Victoria was his pride and joy. Dick was President of the Kruising Knights Car Club. He was also a member of the Amish Country Cruisers. He enjoyed car shows in which he attended regularly. Dick collected lots of memorabilia and enjoyed displaying them in his garage and home office. He was also an avid water skier, boater and weightlifter. Dick cherished his children and grandchildren and time he spent with them.
Dick will be lovingly missed by his wife, Sandra, son Richard (Dee) Ridgeway, II, two daughters, Carrie (Mike) Dashnaw, Amie (Eric) Shaffer, three step sons, Ernest Fenner (Mary), Donald (Rhonda) Fenner and Brian (Valerie) Fenner, 10 grandchildren 1 great grandson, brother, Gilbert (Katie) Ridgeway, three sisters, his twin , Evelyn Secrest, Suzanna Lightenfield, Billie Marie Hyland, former wife Betty Ridgeway, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Service will be held at 7pm Friday at the funeral home.
