Richard A. "Big O" Olszewski, 77 of Liverpool died peacefully with his family at his side Monday. Dick was a great man, husband, dad and gramps. He retired from John Deere in 1987 following 30 years of service as Warehouse Supervisor.
"Big O" was an avid sports fan who enjoyed golf, basketball fishing and camping. He was a Parochial All Star in the 40's in HOOPS. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife of 55 years the former Mary Ann Riley, three sons: Michael A. (Kathleen) of N. Syracuse, Richard J. (JoLee) of Cicero and John A. (Jody) Olszewski of Greensboro, NC, a brother: Theodore, two sisters; Phyllis Garrett and Rosemary Kurpiewski, five grandchildren; Erikka, Korrie, Casey, Sydney and Lucas Olszewski and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in N. Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be 9:00 -10:00 am Wednesday at the Church, 427 Beechwood Ave.
