Reta I. McGill, 84, formerly of Geneva, OH, and most recently of North Syracuse, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 1st after a 2 year fight with dementia.
She was born in Geneva, OH, to the late Elizabeth and Arnold Fuller. Reta graduated from Geneva High School in 1956 and then met the love of her life, Walter, in Geneva, OH.
Reta worked at Geneva Telephone Company, then went onto work as a bank teller in Ohio and Syracuse, NY.
She enjoyed cross-stitch and needlework, and went onto win many awards at the NYS Fair. Reta loved animals, bird watching, gardening and flowers. She was an avid SU Basketball, Football and Lacrosse fan. She was also a lover of music and was always singing around the house.
Reta is survived by her husband of 64 years, Walter; son, Christopher (Shari) McGill; step-grandchildren, Savana and Brett Sherwood; step great-grandchildren, Shawd and Carter; and brothers, Arnold (Dixie) Fuller and Roger Fuller; as well as Walter's brothers, Tom (Darlene) and Tim (Denise); and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Geneva, OH later this year.
