Sadly on Saturday, April 4, 2020, Rebecca M. Finnerty's long battle with addiction ended. She was 38 years old. Rebecca was born on November 20, 1981 in Syracuse, NY to Brendan and Becki (Rose) Finnerty. She grew up in the Fayetteville area and attended Fayetteville-Manlius High school.
Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She liked spending time on Hatch Lake where she loved helping her Dad with his special projects. She loved spending time on the water fishing, water skiing, snorkeling and swimming.
Rebecca is survived by three beautiful sons, Ayden, Kenny and Gavin Sprague as well as their dad, Kenneth Sprague Jr., parents Brendan and Becki (Rose) Finnerty of Eaton, NY, a sister and her husband Erin and Daniel Hicks of Garner, North Carolina, maternal grandparents, Bert and Sallyanne Israel of Fredericksburg, Virginia and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Due to the current stay at home order, a memorial service to celebrate Rebecca's life will be held at a later date. New Comer Cremations & Funerals in North Syracuse is handling the arrangements.
