Raymond W. Schader

Raymond W. Schader, 86, of East Syracuse, passed away September 13, 2023. Ray was born in Cicero, New York on February 14, 1937 to William and Viola Schader. He retired from Crouse Hinds, after 27 years of employment. Ray was the treasurer of the Cicero Historical Society for over 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, bird watching, and landscaping. Ray had a special love for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents William and Viola Schader, and 6 siblings.

Ray is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Remon Schader; children, Susan (Paul ) Marshall, Aimee Leestma, Douglas (Prisana) Schader, Cheryl (Ryan) Green; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Sunday September 17, 2023 from 4-6PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ray's memory to the Cicero Historical Society, Attn. treasurer, 6967 Island Rd, Cicero, NY 13039.
