Raymond G. Pease, 84, of Syracuse, passed away February 7, 2019.

Raymond was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on January 5, 1935, the eighth and youngest child of Henry and Mayona Pease.

He was drafted into the army, and served from 1958 to 1960.

Ray spent most of his career as a cook/chef, specializing in seafood and had varied interests and hobbies. Before losing his sight, he was an avid reader and especially loved science fiction. He also very much enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his later years he enjoyed musicals and watching movies.

When attending appointments at the VA Hospital in Syracuse for treatment, he made a point to visit friends and acquaintances, and was a favorite of the staff there.

Ray spent his final years at the Loretto Cunningham Health and Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse, NY.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Arthur, Daniel, Elizabeth (Bette), Shirley, Mayona (Noni), Fred and Henley.

He is survived by his three daughters, Debra Evans, Rayanne Stemmler and Michele Topolski; grandchildren, Justin Brooks, Kelly Brooks, Rachael Dubini, Kerilyn Topolski and Kyle Topolski, as well as 9 great grandchildren.
