Raymond A. Polano, 78, of North Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at Francis House after a long illness. He retired in 1997 from New Venture Gear. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and old car enthusiast. Ray is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Bajus Polano; a son, David Polano; a daughter, Debra DiRoma; two grandchildren, Cheryl and Julie DiRoma; a sister in law, Grace Polano; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Armond "Nate" Polano, and a sister, Norma Thompson.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Services will be Monday 10AM at St. Rose of Lima Church.
Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Francis House.
