Ralph E. Parkes

Ralph E. Parkes, Sr, age 89, of Liverpool, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Ralph was born in Mesa, Arizona on January 13, 1934. He was the son of Thora and Ralph Henry Parkes.
He graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in San Diego.
He met Suzanne (Sue), the love of his life, and was married on a cold Friday night, on February 8, 1957.
Ralph was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a High Priest and was very active in the church.
Ralph enjoyed woodworking, making beautiful toy boxes for the grandchildren and camping.
He was in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Buloxi, Mississippi.
He worked at General Electric, Liverpool Sports Center, Lund's Ski Shop and McKie's Sports.
Ralph had a very strong work ethic and took pride in his work and went above and beyond to help his customers.
Ralph is survived by his devoted loving wife of 66 years, Suzanne (Sue). He has three Children: Ralph, Jr (Ed)/Sharon Parkes, daughter in law, Stephen (Steve)/Susan Parkes, daughter in law, and Kevin/Taiya Parkes.
His daughter Tammy O'Neil passed away in 2010.
He is survived by his grandchildren: Christopher (Chris) Parkes, Jonathan (Jon) Berit-Parkes, Jaclyn (Jackie) Moyse-Parkes, Nicolas (Nick) Parkes, and Caitlin Parkes. Ralph was blessed with 4 grandchildren and another one on the way: Olivia Parkes, Jacob Parkes, Henri Berit-Parkes, and Charlotte Berit-Parkes.
Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Monday, April 10th, 2023 from 10am -12pm. Funeral services will follow at 12pm. Burial will be at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
