Ralph J. Ellis

Ralph J. Ellis, 64, of Brewerton, New York died Monday, December 19, 2011 at home. A life resident of the Syracuse area, he was the son of the late George and Evelyn Ives Ellis.

Ralph owned and operated numerous businesses including Ellis Brothers Mobil, Creek Side Orchard and Cicero Family Restaurant and then worked in sales. Ralph was a Disabled U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He enjoyed spending time with his family and NASCAR and his classic cars.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years the former, Elaine Zapf; children, Adam (Kathy), Lesley (Chad) Walker, Randall (Tracie) Currier and Michelle (Robert) Steele; ten grandchildren, Alexis, Kennidee, Kaytlynn, Samantha, Trevor, Ashlynn, Ryan, Caralynn, Logan and Chelsi, also a sister, Pamela (Sidney) Gladle, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2011 with services to follow at 7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, New York.
