Ralph E. Walker

Ralph E. Walker, 91, of North Syracuse, passed away suddenly at home on Monday. Born in Nunda, NY, Ralph was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy. He was co-owner of the Park Street Diner in the 1930's. He then worked for the New York Central Railroad Line as a fireman and for Stearns and Bergstrom as a tile setter. He was a member of the Bricklayers/Tile Setters Union, retiring in 1986. He is predeceased by his wife, Marion and son, Wayne.
Ralph is survived by his children, Ralph (Anita) Walker, Stephanie (Louis) Masson and Gregory (Stephanie) Walker; sister, Corky DePauw; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; close friend, Merilee Walker; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow at the North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church.
