Ralph Baker, Jr., 87, of Central Square, passed away on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born on February 9, 1926 in Cortland, son of Ralph and Ruth Baker. Ralph served in the US Marine Corps. during WW II and Korea. Ralph enjoyed hunting & the outdoors, he was a singer and square dance caller in his family's western band.
He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Ruth Baker, daughter Elaine Wright, brothers: Louis, George, Edward "Bud" Baker and sister, Leona "Mae" Robarge.
Surviving are his sons: Clayton, Kenneth, Richard, Phillip (Gertrune), Darrell (Cyndi) Baker, 3 sisters: Mary Head, Betty Jean Blaise, Audrey VanGorder, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Saturday 10am at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
