Rafael C. Escobar

Rafael C. Escobar, 75, of Baldwinsville, passed away in Syracuse, NY on April 20, 2022. He was born in New York City on April 2, 1947 to the late Guillermina and Benigno Escobar. Rafael was a very sweet man, a social butterfly and had a great sense of humor. He was always willing to help and would give you the shirt off his back. Rafael was a retired member of the Teamster Local Union 1149 via Anheuser-Busch.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sheila Escobar; 4 children, Russell (Vanessa) Cooke, Michelle Escobar, Amanda Chinana and Samantha (Arien) Escobar; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Sixto Escobar of Massachusetts, Carmen (Tony) Calabro of Nevada; two close cousins, Rafael (Rosemar) Cintron and Warren (Mirna) Velazquez of Puerto Rico; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 1st 1-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals with a service to follow at 4pm.
