Rachel V. Osborne, 65 of N. Syracuse died Saturday surrounded by her loving family at Crouse Hospital. A native of Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Grace Muratore Stillitano. Rachel was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church, a member their Senior Citizen group as well as a member of the Liverpool #2348 BPOE Ladies Auxiliary and their Senior Citizen group. She was an avid reader. Rachel retired from Agway in 1994 following 32 years as an assistant buyer.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Donald W. Osborne; three daughters, Faith (Joseph) Piraino of Syracuse, Peggy Sue (David) Utter of Whitney Point, Catherine (Darrall) Fogus of Brewerton; two sons, Scott (Birgitta) of Baldwinsville and Donald (Shannon) Osborne of Clay; two brothers, Thomas (Lorraine) Stillitano of E. Syracuse and William Stillitano of Palmetto, Fl.; a sister, Carmelina (James) Stapleton of Palmetto, Fl.; an aunt, Isabelle Muratore of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren, Lisa, Chad, Joseph, Joshua, Michael, Morgan, Erik, Amanda, Ryan, Rachel and Gianna;
two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Jacob, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 9:15am Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse and 10 am Thursday at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
