Phyllis E. Durney, 88, of Eastwood, passed away April 13, 2018. Phyllis was born in Syracuse, New York on November 9, 1929 to the late Oliver and Ella Bertrand.
She co-owned and operated the Durney's Antiques store and retired from Onondaga County DSS . Her passion was SU Basketball and golfing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Durney; a daughter, Nancy Durney; and a grandson, Neil Simon.
She is survived by her four daughters, Patricia (Nick) Durney, Judith (Michael) Paduana, Bonnie (Floyd) Richeson, Barbara (Frank) Rhodes; three sons, Christopher Durney, Michael (Norene) Durney, James (Jackie) Durney; 15 grandchildren; and great- grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, from 3-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212, where funeral services will be held at 6PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Francis House and Hospice of CNY. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Francis House for their unbelievable compassion and exceptional care.
