Phyllis A. Crisafulli, 78, of Liverpool, passed peacefully at home with her family on March 21, 2023 after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Phyllis was born in Olean, NY on January 27, 1945 to Tracy and Ila Barozzini.
Phyllis was a registered nurse for over 40 years, and worked in several local nursing homes and doctors' offices. After she left nursing she took care of many friends and neighbors through her life and was loved for her caring and compassionate manner. She was a long time member of the Liverpool Baptist Church where she attended for over 40 years. While there, she enjoyed playing piano and the organ for the church. Phyllis enjoyed spending time in her garden, socializing at the YMCA, shopping, dinners out, any type of sweets or deserts, and most of all being with her family. Her life was centered around her granddaughters more than anything. She was a gentle and loving woman who will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
She was preceded in death by her Husband of 39 years, Anthony P. Crisafulli; Father, Tracy Barozzini; Mother, Ila T. Barozzini.
Phyllis is survived by her Children, Tom (Tina) Gilligan, Sara Gilligan and Mark (Tam) Crisafulli; Five Grandchildren, RJ, Karissa, Mariah, Vanessa and Taylor; and Two Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, Lou (Dawn) Barozzini, Joe (Kelly) Barozzini; and many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and close Friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful ladies who cared for her in her home for six years. This amazing group of women cared for her as if she were their own mother. Especially her close friend Holly who managed every aspect of her care.
