Phyliss Y. Heels passed away on February 7th.
Born in Oswegatchie, NY, she graduated from Vocational High School in Syracuse, where she would walk from downtown to the west side every day.
She was employed with Sears for most of her career as a retail sales person.
Phyliss was always most happy when she was at Sandy Pond with her grandchildren and dogs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Heels; parents, James Wellington Shannon and Avis I. (Daniels) Shannon; brother, Donald and daughter, Deborah.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Greg) Miller; 7 grandchildren, Nicholas (Kathryn) La Verne, Michelle (Steven) Shallcross, Kristopher Heels, Tammy Rueppel, Stacey Miller, Kelly (Brian) O'Hara and Jody (Paul) Williams;16 great grandchildren, Wesley Rueppel, Adam Rueppel, Avery Rueppel, Samantha Shallcross, Ethan Shallcross, Benjamin La Verne, Colin Snook, Jadon Snook, Dylan Snook, Emma Snook, Jackson O'Hara, Emelia O'Hara, Maya Taisey, Lydia Williams, Kiersten Heels and Aidan Heels.
Calling hours will take place Wednesday from 10AM-12 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
Burial to take place at a later date.
