Phillip D. Massara, 78, of North Syracuse, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He attended St. Vincent School and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dog, Buff. He liked to work and retired from Carrier in 1995 with 43 years of service. Phillip is predeceased by his wife, of 51 years, Angeline, who left this world too early on August 10, 2003.

He is survived by his 5 sons, Philip, Kenneth, Bill, Robert and Richard.; two daughters, Elizabeth Belair and Rhonda Massara; two brothers, (twin brother) Vincent and Michael; ; three sisters, Emma Massara, Jenny DiFabbio and Adeline Cousins; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday, 9AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
