PHILIP JOHN HUNDSHAMER, age 60, of Mattydale, died in his home on July 10, 2011. Mr. Hundshamer's career as a mechanic spanned more than 40 years, and close friends would say that he could "fix anything". He loved camping, golf and the outdoors, chess, and playing tournament billiards.
Mr. Hundshamer was preceded in death by his son, David Hundshamer, and brothers Kevin and Eric Hundshamer. Philip is survived by his daughter Trisha Hundshamer, granddaughter Amber Hundshamer, his mother, Verna Hundshamer, brothers Brian and Douglas Hundshamer, sisters Katherine Shensky,Marilyn (Jim) Crofoot, and Janet (Taki) Petrou, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street, North Syracuse, on Monday, July 18, 2011, at 4:00p.m., and the family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 p.m.
