Peter Robert Faes, 80, of N. Syracuse, passed away at home Saturday with family at his side.
Peter served 4 years with the US Air Force and was stationed in Germany.
Peter retired from GE after 35 years as a Section Manager in July 1991. Peter served as village trustee in North Syracuse, was President of the Gem and Mineral Society of Syracuse and active in the Lions Club.
He is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mary Faes and his brother Benjamin.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Peggy Faes; his sons, Peter (Stacia), Steven (Gail) and David (Cristine); six grandchildren, Peter (Jamie), Jenika, Lauran, David, William and Joseph; one great-grandchild on the way; his brother, Richard (Janet) and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 10am-12Noon on Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Funeral Service will follow at 12 Noon, also at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
A reception will be held at the N. Syracuse Community Center from 3-8PM.
