Peter L. Smith, 70, of Phoenix, passed away at home, on Monday after a courageous battle. He was a 1962 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School. He was employed with Crouse Hinds for 29 years.
Peter is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen (Bednar) Smith; son, Peter J. Smith of North Syracuse; daughter, Dawn M. Smith-Zellar and her husband, Craig A. Zellar of Phoenix; two grand-sons, Edward J. and Luke J. Zellar.
Services will be held on Tuesday, 11 AM at the United Church of Christ in Bayberry, Liverpool, NY. Spring burial will be in the Phoenix Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 7-9PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the United Church of Christ in Bayberry, Liverpool, NY.
