Peter C. Haas, 46, passed away on Tuesday at his home in Saranac Lake, with his fiancée and his loving family by his side. Peter was the son of Norman Haas, Plattsburgh, and Sylvia Haas, Syracuse. He was born on June 27, 1967 in Syracuse. He graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse and attended Cortland College, TKE Fraternity. He also graduated from Bryant & Stratton College. He lived in Syracuse until 2007 then moved to Saranac Lake, where he met the love of his life, Chanda (JayLn) Renadette. Peter loved to play chess, and enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds, Miami Dolphins & the Syracuse Orange. He was predeceased by his brother, Steven Haas.
Survived by his father, Norman (Angie), mother, Sylvia, sisters: Cindy (Bob) Redhead, Diane (David) Furst, and Valerie (Matt Pellerin), several nieces, nephews, great niece, and great nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-3pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Funeral mass will be held on Monday 10am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Burial will take place at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Adirondack ARC, P.O. Box 279, Lake Clear, NY 12945 or to MDA.
