Pearl Barksdale, 92 of Clay, passed away peacefully at home with her family.
Born in Harlem, NY on Ocotober 14, 1925 to the late Jonathan and Adeline (Hall) Madden. Her parents died while she was young, and she was raised by her aunt, Dorothy Hall.
She lived most of her adult life in Brooklyn, NY from 1953 until 2004, then she relocated to Clay, NY.
She loved traveling, painting, singing, playing the piano and bowling.
Pearl is survived by her son, Kevin (Yolanda) Barksdale; five grandsons, Shamel (Teresa) Smiley, Terrell (Mecaila) Smiley, Christopher Barksdale, Jelani Rice and Jordan Rice; great-grandchild, Aaliyah Smiley and mother to Frank Smith, Lloyd Smith, Eva Smith and Wayne Sutherland. And she is survived by several cousins, family and friends.
A private Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
