Paula Carolyn Dingman

 Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Paula C. Dingman (Samul) passed away peacefully January 26, 2025, after a short illness. She was 74. She was born on January 7, 1951. 

Paula, Mom, Momma, and Memma was the heart of her home to her family and friends. 

Paula was married for 10 plus years to the love of her life and soulmate Paul (modern day John Wayne) who preceded her in death. 

As a loving Mother to her two children, son Jim (Jimmer)(Wendy)Rogers 54, daughter Jennifer (Jenny) Rogers 51, grandmother to eight grandchildren, Cassandra(Steven), Devon(Brittany), Sydney, Ashley(Joe), Cortnie, Amanda(Kenneth), Kristin(Brandon), and Martin(Jaz), great grandmother to ten great grandchildren, Lawson, Savanah, Henry, Jayden, KoraJo, Mila, Layla, and McKenna, Eli, and Maverick. four siblings, two sisters Jacqueline (Tom)O’Neill, Diane (Steve)Rockwell, brothers, Edward Scott (Karen) Samul and her youngest brother Martin Samul who preceded her in death. 

Paula also had many friends she considered family, and they all knew it, she adored and loved every one of them very much. 

Paula graduated from North Syracuse Highschool in 1968. Shortly after graduation Paula started a 30 plus year career at Syracuse China where she was a Master Decorator. Decorating dinnerware that would be used all over the world. Paula very much enjoyed her job, although we would hear from time to time just how physically demanding the job was LOL, it was her passion, much like her hobbies, crafts, crocheting, gardening, plants, her jewelry collecting, writing her notes in cards, in a letter, a note on the table to us before she would go to work telling us to have a great day and she loved us, her handwriting was beautiful, just like she saw the beauty in her creations from her hobbies. If she was going to do it, she would do it beautifully. Paula also enjoyed her time volunteering at Francis House in Syracuse. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. with service to follow at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, North Syracuse, NY. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the following foundations that Paula donated to, Francis House, St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project, Tunnels of Towers Foundation.
